Melissa Wall founded Marketing With Distinction, LLC in January, 1996. For
twenty years, she has been counseling
companies on how to create and implement business-to-business marketing and communications programs. She also began offering companies executive search and recruiting services six years ago and the business is now split 50/50 between marketing advisory and staffing/executive search. She has a specific expertise in the financial services
industry.

Prior to opening the
firm in 1997, Ms. Wall held several senior corporate
positions with NatWest Securities, the U.S. investment
banking and securities arm of NatWest Group, Financial
Guaranty Insurance Company, a former subsidiary
of GE Capital, and Midland Montagu, the U.S. corporate
and investment banking division of Midland Bank
plc (now HSBC).
Ms. Wall was born in England.
An American citizen, she has a B.Sc. Degree, Cum
Laude, in Marketing and Management from the Stern
School of Business at New York University. She
also holds a Certificate in Investor Relations
from the University of Connecticut.
She is an appointed commissioner for the Oxford Economic Development Commission; has taught marketing at Mercy College in White Plains, New York and at The Women's Business Development Center in Stamford, as has also taught "professional success" at Post University in Waterbury, Connecticut. Ms. Wall also conducts marketing workshops for small businesses and sits on the Boards of the Oxford Regional Innovation Center and Yankee Entrepreneurial Institute, a business incubator, and the Oxford Economic Development Corporation.
